Katie Doody joined the team as a Veterinary Assistant in March 2026. She holds a Bachelor of BioVeterinary Science from Dalhousie University and brings strong knowledge in animal behaviour, body language, and Fear Free techniques to her role.
Katie began working in emergency veterinary medicine in 2024 and quickly discovered a passion for the fast-paced and unpredictable nature of urgent care. She also developed a deep interest in palliative and end-of-life care, providing thoughtful, compassionate support to pets and their families during some of the most challenging moments. Katie is dedicated to treating every patient as if they were her own and helping pet owners feel informed, supported, and understood.
Katie plans to continue her education by enrolling in the Veterinary Technician program in Moncton this fall, further expanding her skills and ability to support patients and clients.
At home, Katie cares for two special-needs cats, one of whom is currently receiving palliative care. They inspire her daily commitment to improving the lives of animals and the people who love them.
