Alicia Laurin has always known that working with animals was where she wanted to be. She began by volunteering with animal shelters, veterinary clinics, and fundraising events before earning her Veterinary Assistant diploma from Ashworth College in 2021.
Her experience includes small animal practice as well as animal wellness and integrative medicine at Willow Grove. Alicia especially enjoys working with animals who may be nervous, fearful, or need a little extra patience. She became Fear Free certified in 2023 and completed her Canine Hydrotherapy certification with honours the following year.
In her VSR role with our team, Alicia is excited to continue learning about urgent care medicine while helping provide a positive experience for pets and their people. Outside of work, she enjoys learning about canine behaviour with her Border Collie, Jasper, and spending time with her rescue cat, Rolo.
