Wellness care is focused on prevention, early detection, and long-term health planning. Regular wellness visits allow us to monitor your pet’s overall health, identify changes early, and provide guidance tailored to their age, lifestyle, and individual needs.
Why Regular Exams Matter
Dogs and cats age faster than we do, and a lot can change between visits. We generally recommend wellness exams once a year for healthy adults, and more often for puppies, kittens, and seniors. Over time, these exams build a health history that helps us spot trends and act on them early.
Early Detection & Preventive Care
Many health conditions develop gradually and may not show obvious symptoms right away. Regular wellness visits help identify concerns early, when they are often easier to manage.
Wellness care may include:
- Physical examinations
- Preventative lab screening
- Annual bloodwork
- Urinalysis
- Fecal testing
Recommendations are based on your pet’s age, breed, and health history.
Personalized Health Planning
Wellness visits are also a time to talk. We’ll discuss nutrition, weight management, behavior, parasite prevention, vaccinations, and any changes you’ve noticed at home.
Our goal is to partner with you to create a realistic, proactive care plan that supports your pet’s health now and in the years ahead.
